eResponders teamed up with CASAS to transform their essential training and certifications into a well-designed, compelling digital ecosystem that truly reflects their spirit of excellence. We took their deep expertise and reimagined it through a “learner-first” lens, swapping dense materials for intuitive navigation and interactive practice that builds lasting competence. The result is a suite of courses that honors the CASAS high standards while proving that even the most critical compliance content can be engaging, frictionless, and a pleasure to move through.

The Need and Challenges

For years, CASAS has provided high quality in-person training—the kind of experience where a facilitator’s guidance and the energy of a room full of peers made complex material feel manageable. Like many organizations, CASAS faced the challenge of transitioning that rich history online without losing the “human” element. We know that materials designed for a physical classroom often miss the mark on a screen; without a live guide, learners can easily feel overwhelmed.

eResponders partnered with CASAS to bridge the gap between the classroom and the screen, reimagining their growing library of content as a well-designed, compelling digital ecosystem. Our core objective was to replicate the “facilitated” feel of their storied in-person history—creating a guided, intuitive experience that respects the limited time and cognitive load of busy professionals.

To achieve this, eResponders led a structured discovery and planning process, working as a close creative partner with the CASAS team. We didn’t just look at the slides; we looked at the learner. By identifying the friction points in the existing digital experience, we were able to build a “world” where the navigation is secondary to the message.   • Engineered the experience through backwards design, starting with learning objectives to design interactive simulations where learners can practice and demonstrate mastery in real-world scenarios
  • Translated scripts into detailed storyboards, mapping out every visual element, interaction, and knowledge check to ensure a frictionless transition from concept to screen
  • Course Development
  • Transformed storyboards into interactive modules using Articulate Storyline 360, featuring custom click-to-reveal interactions, drag-and-drop activities, and branching simulations that mirror real-world workflows.
  • Integrated Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and accessibility standards from the ground up, ensuring the “visual world” was navigable and meaningful for every learner, regardless of how they interact with the content
  • Established a visual graphic line for CASAS — a cohesive set of design standards including approved colors, fonts, icons, and branded elements — ensuring consistency across all courses
  • Delivered all courses as SCORM-packaged files ready for LMS deployment, along with source Articulate Storyline files for full client ownership
